Social activist to present Mandela Social Justice Day keynote address

Tia Oso, director of impact at Revolve Impact, a social impact firm devoted to transforming systems, policies and people will give the keynote address at the 2018 Nelson Mandela Social Justice Day February 21 at 6 p.m.  in Carter Hall.

Oso’s address, “Chaos or Community: The Persistent Question in Achieving Racial Progress and Human Rights,”  is the culmination of a full day of activities meant to raise awareness at the university around current issues of human and civil rights, public service, and activism. All events are free and open to the public as space is available.

Oso is a national organizer, strategist and leader on issues of racial equity, migrant rights and social justice.

This event is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts, College of Nursing and Health Professions, Multicultural Center, Counseling Center and the Office of Housing and Residence.
