USI offers noncredit agriculture programs

USI’s Outreach and Engagement is offering a series of noncredit agriculture. This will be part of its Lifelong Learning program. The low-cost programs will cover a variety of topics and will be offered throughout the year.

The first three one-session courses offered in March will include a family farm transfer and estate planning, a class to guide estate planning and transfer of assets process.  Classes dates will be announced later.

Understanding federal crop insurance program will examine the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation program. This class will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. on March 12 and March 25.

The last one that will be offered is soil sustainability- back to basics, which is a program that will discuss the concept of sustainable agriculture. This will be offered 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 10 and March 31.
