This year marks the 50th annual USI Juried Student Art Exhibition. The show is a presentation of selected student work from the end of the previous year’s submission dates to the current dates. Every year the show is juried by an invited guest. This year’s Juror is Jon Goebel, Department Chair of Art at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.  The Juror will have a presentation at 6:10 p.m. on March 19.

Eligible works were created within the last year and made by a current art major (or a December 2019 Graduate who is currently enrolled in an art course.) An eligible student may submit a maximum of four works in any media, 2-D or 3-D. 2-D pieces must be matted, no wet work will be accepted, 3-D works must allow handling without special equipment. If you have any questions about a piece for submission clear the piece with an art faculty member.

Entries will be accepted from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. on March 17-19 at the McCutchan Art Center/Pace Galleries. Accepted pieces will need to be retrieved to be framed at 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. March 22-25 and will need to be returned from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. March 26 and 27.

The show will open on Wednesday, April 1 and run through May 3. The Artist Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. April 5.
