Efroymson Fellowship exhibition seeks to engage

Susanna Fravell, Staff Writer

Efroymson Bridge Fellowship’s most recent exhibition, Mortal Flesh, is coming to the McCutchan Art Center/Pace Galleries on Feb. 17 and will be displayed until March 15. There will be a reception on March 1 and light refreshments will be served.

The fellowship is an annual competitive award program that one graduating senior or recent graduate from the Art and Design Department receives, allowing them to focus on their studio practice and expand their vision to enhance their portfolio. The award helps them gain maturity as an artist and enter into graduate school.

Livia Alexander is the 2019 recipient of the fellowship award and is the featured artist of Mortal Flesh. Her exhibition includes artwork she has completed during her fellowship and highlights her unique and confrontational artwork. Her artwork encourages viewers to talk to each other about social, political, and personal issues.
