Tau Kappa Epsilon will host Chapter Feb. 15 at 5:45 p.m. in Business and Engineering Center 0003.
Alpha Sigma Tau COB Soda Bar will take place Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. in Business and Engineering Center 0035, where members will meet potential new members at the spring recruitment event.
Alpha Sigma Tau Clips and Sips is Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Alpha Sigma Tau House.
Alpha Sigma Alpha Spring Bid Day will be held Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. in Orr Center 2008.
Campus Activities
Cajun Mardi Gras will take place Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. at Grimes Haus/Eicher Barn. Enjoy authentic Cajun food, including jambalaya and muffaletta sandwiches, as well as King cake. There will also be a traditional chicken chase with a twist, where one of the club’s presidents will be dressed as a chicken. Whoever catches her will be gifted a 3-D printed chicken trophy.
Ash Wednesday Mass is Feb. 18 at 12 p.m. in Carter Hall in University Center West.
Sweet Escape: Fondue Night will be held Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. in Newman Multipurpose Room. Enjoy chocolate-dipped pretzels and fruits with NewGov staff.
Snow Globe Making will take place Feb. 19 at 5 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge in University Center East. Students can create their own custom snow globe to close out the winter season.
Southern Indiana Dance Marathon is Feb. 21 at 12 p.m. in Carter Hall in University Center West. Join to raise money for Riley Children’s Hospital while having fun.
Academic and Professional Development
The Study Abroad Information Session will take place Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. in University Center 2217 for students interested in studying abroad and earning credit toward their USI degree.
Journal Club will be held Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. in Liberal Arts Center 1001. Dr. Eyink will present “Social Norm Interventions in Classrooms” to allow psychology students to engage in and discuss research.
Student Organizations
The Clothing Swap will run Feb. 16 and 17 in Carter Hall. Drop-off days are Monday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring clothing items to Carter Hall in University Center West and receive tickets for every item donated. Shopping day is Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., with one ticket per item. This swap addresses fast fashion and reduces environmental harm.
The Nest weekly meeting will take place Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. in the Streaming Eagles Studio in Liberal Arts Center 0103 on the bottom floor of the Liberal Arts Building. Home to any type of video, from sports recaps to interviews to sketches. Membership is not contingent on attending these meetings, but they are a good way to foster collaboration and camaraderie.

Black Student Union Meeting will take place Feb. 18 at 4:30 p.m. in University Center 2217. Join the Black Student Union for a relaxed space to connect with peers and stay in the loop on upcoming campus events. All students are welcome.
Health and Wellness
Improve Your Snooze! will be held Feb. 18 at 12:15 p.m. in University Center 2219. Learn helpful strategies and relaxation exercises for better sleep. Students can pick up a free sleep mask and have a chance win a pair of microwavable slippers. Hosted by Recreation, Fitness and Wellness and USI Deaconess Clinic.
