Aracely Chavez is a junior journalism major with minors in world languages and cultures and gender and sexuality studies. Chavez joined The Shield in Spring 2023 as a staff writer and now serves as news editor.

Chavez enjoys spending her time with friends, cats and family as well as journaling, listening to music and learning new things.
