Since 1921, the West Side Nut Club has brought people together every fall on Franklin Street. This year, there are 137 booths, a few of which belong to student organizations and Greek Life. This year, six groups will set up shop to serve at the Fall Festival Oct. 5 through 11.
The six groups participating include Greek life fraternities and sororities Tau Kappa Epsilon, Delta Zeta, Lambda Chi Alpha and Alpha Sigma Alpha as well as the Liberal Arts street corn both and the USI Varsity Club.
The food booths at the Fall Festival are more than just vendors; they are integral to the event’s identity. They embody the community’s sprit of collaboration and service, offering festival-goers a taste of local flavors while supporting charitable causes. The booths’ diverse offerings, from classic fair foods to unique regional specialties, reflect the cultural heritage of Evansville and the surrounding area.
USI has been an integral part of the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival for decades, with its student organizations actively participating in the event’s food booths. These booths not only offer a variety of delicious foods but also serve as significant fundraising opportunities for the organizations involved.
