For the 50th Anniversary of the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art, the gallery will host “Look Both Ways: 50 Years at the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art,” an exhibition showing the evolution of the establishment. The opening reception is set for Sept. 6 from 3 to 6 p.m. and will include refreshments. The show will be open until Nov. 9 for those unable to attend the reception.
The exhibition includes two presentation areas: “Positions” and “Participation.”
“Positions” explores how artistic mediums were presented in past exhibits, while “Participation” focuses on the gallery’s relationships with communities.
A portion of the gallery will feature new media art that ties into New Harmony as a city.
Postcards and analog art from past shows will also be available to view. Alongside are interactive items for all ages, such as a catalog and an audio guide.
