Over the course of the summer and last semester, many movies had reached a milestone in their anniversaries. From The Goonies’ 40th year anniversary or Jaws’ 50th. This is a count of some notable anniversaries that will be happening or have happened since the beginning of this year as well as what is to come.

Very notable anniversaries are ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ (Nov 15), which will be turning 100 this year and ‘The bride of Frankenstein’ (Apr 20), which will be turning 90.

75th anniversary: Sunset Boulevard (Jan 1)

50th anniversaries: Jaws (June 1), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Sept 26)

40th anniversaries: Back to The Future (July 3), The Goonies (June 7), The Breakfast Club (Feb 15), Return of the Living Dead (Aug 16), Fright Night (Aug 2)

30th anniversaries: Toy Story (Nov 22) and Clueless (July 19)

25th anniversaries: Gladiator (May 5), Final Destination (Mar 17), X-Men (May 27)

20th anniversaries: Batman Begins (July 15), Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith (May 19), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Dec 9)  

15th anniversary: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (Aug 13)
