On April 9, The Loft hosted the “Monster Mash,” a themed potato bar event. The station that normally serves pasta was covered in spooky decorations and was ready to serve up a monstrously good potato.

Upon entering the line, you were given a paper with all the toppings you could choose from, with lots of variety.
For my potato, I ended up with ground beef, bacon, cheddar cheese, green onion, diced tomato, black olives, sour cream, diced white onion, fresh garlic and butter. These were all great options in my opinion, but the possibilities were endless depending on what someone else might like.
Overall, I thought that this was a really fun event and I would go again. The theming added to it, making it a lot more fun than just having a station change up its menu for a day. It adds to the atmosphere and pulls you in.
I hope The Loft does more themed events like this one, and I hope that they will bring this one back, possibly around Halloween time.
