Maliah White, Visual Editor
Maliah White, junior art and public relation and advertising major, was the Visual Editor for the 2022-2023 and for the 2021-2022 academic year. White joined The Shield in July 2021. She also served as Visual Director of The Shield's COVID-19 Publication Committee for the 2023 special-edition magazine, "Unmasked." White was awarded 2021-2022 Shieldster of the Year and the 2022-2023 Above and Beyond Award for her time and dedication to The Shield during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years respectively.
In addition to her work at The Shield, White was served in other positions at the University of Southern Indiana including a Student Ambassador, president of PRSSA, president of Art Club and was a part of the Honors Program on campus. White enjoys relaxing weekends and crafting. She likes rewatching nostalgic movies and TV shows on Disney+.
“I enjoy working for The Shield for the unique opportunity to gain professional experience for my career,” White said. “I also get to work with other great people and be involved on campus.”
