The USI volleyball team announced its ‘Dig for the Cure’ match will take place on Oct. 18 when the Eagles host Illinois-Springfield at the PAC.

USI will wear special pink jerseys in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer and is one of 10 games scheduled for the Eagles during the regular season.

The Eagles will begin their 2013 campaign in Pensacola, Fla., in the UWF Hemingway’s Invitational. USI will open its home schedule at the PAC with a Sept. 28 contest against Missouri S&T. Five of USI’s 10 home matches scheduled in 2013 will take place over the last two weeks of the regular season.
