A USI student was found dead Wednesday morning after another student saw him unresponsive in a car in a parking lot by the Science and Engineering Center.
Adrien Mowery, a 29-year-old from Evansville, Ind., was found dead in his ’98 black Toyota Rav 4, said Major Rick Pace from the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s office.
Both the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s office and the Public Safety office responded to the call.
The Coroner’s office performed an autopsy and determined that the cause of death was a heart attack. The press release from the coroner’s office said Mowery died 11 p.m. Tuesday and he was found at around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Sgt. Bill Gillenwater said the police were notified when a student noticed someone sleeping in a car before he went to class. When he came back from class, the person was still there.
