Record Store Day (RSD) is an annual worldwide event held on the third Saturday of April to celebrate independent record stores. Space Monkey Records is one of the many stores participating in Evansville, Indiana.
What makes RSD special?
Record Store Day gives music and vinyl-lovers a chance to get their hands on music titles that are otherwise “hard to find,” allowing listeners to find something exclusive and gain a community experience along the way.
What you need to know for Space Monkey Records RSD
Space Monkey is opening their doors Saturday, April 18, at 7 a.m.; however, make sure to line up early, since this will be a popular event, and the first few in line will get special freebies such as posters, ambassador buttons, stickers, and even RSD tote bags!
At this event, goers can purchase up to 10 RSD titles (no duplicates), and you must be 16+ years old to buy RSD products.
It is first-come, first-served.

Why you should attend
When you support small businesses like Space Monkey, it brings the community together and encourages them to host similar events.
And, if you cannot attend Space Monkey RSD, you can definitely stop in sometime to at least greet their in-store cat, Ringo.
Find out more about this event, and see titles they have ordered for RSD from their website, and from their social media; @spacemonkeyrecords (Instagram), and their Facebook, “Space Monkey Records, Evansville.”
