The USI men’s basketball team hosted the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Cougars for the annual homecoming game at the Liberty Arena Saturday, Jan. 31. Attendees also saw the return of Jack Campion, senior guard for the Cougars who played at USI for three seasons before transferring to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. The Screaming Eagles took a 27-23 lead after a strong first half. However, in the second half, Campion led the Cougars to a late-game siege, which ultimately led to a Homecoming victory over Southern Indiana by a score of 58-46. Campion led all scorers for SIUE with 15 points, while Devin Curtis, junior forward, scored a team high of 11 points for Southern Indiana.
