Gamma Phi Beta Informal Recruitment Day 1 will take place Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. at the Gamma Phi Beta House, where potential new members will chat and make vision boards.
Gamma Phi Beta Informal Recruitment Day 2 is Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Gamma Phi Beta House, where attendees will chat and make sundaes.
Gamma Phi Beta Informal Recruitment Day 3 will be held Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. in Wright Administration Forum 1, where participants will chat and create pennant flags.
Alpha Sigma Tau will host Memory Boxes Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. in the Business and Engineering Center, room 0035.
Student Organizations
The Book Brewers Book Club will discuss Heartless by Marissa Meyer Jan. 26 at 4:30 p.m. in the Robert D. Orr Center, room 2018. Anyone is welcome, even if you’ve only read part of the book or none of it. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Honors Student Assembly will meet Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. in Wright Administration Forum 2. Honors students will receive a refresher on the requirements of the Honors Program.
The Tabletop Club will host TableTop Game Night Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. and Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. in University Center, room 2206. Meet cool people, play old favorites, learn new games, or bring your own game to share.
Homecoming
Homecoming 2026: Movie Bingo will feature Shrek and take place Jan. 26 at 5 p.m. in University Center, rooms 2217-2220. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the movie will begin at 5:30 p.m. Free refreshments will be available.
Homecoming 2026: Pot Painting and Succulents is Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. in the Fireside Lounge, where students can decorate a pot and take a succulent home.
Homecoming 2026 Ball: The Enchanted Forest will take place Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Griffin Center, featuring music and dancing, a photobooth and refreshments. Attendance is free for USI students. USI students are allowed one non-student guest who must be 18 years or older and provide an identification card to enter. Limited parking is available at the Griffin Center, with overflow parking in Lot J.
Housing and Resident Life
Trivia Around the World will be held Jan. 27 at 5:30 p.m. in O’Bannon’s Multipurpose Room.
Pretzel Day will take place Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. in Newman’s Multipurpose Room, featuring a free soft pretzel bar.
Mario Kart Night is Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. at the Residence Life Community Center. Winners will receive a gift card.
Academic and Professional Development
Journal Club will take place Jan. 28 at 3 p.m. in the Liberal Arts Center, room 1001. Urska Dobersek, associate professor of psychology, will present “Eating Disorders and Dietary Patterns: Meta-Analytic Review” to allow psychology students to engage in and discuss research.
The Study Abroad Information Session will take place Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. in University Center room 2205 for students interested in studying abroad and earning credit toward their USI degree.
