Important dates
The last day to request to stay late or stay over for winter break is Dec. 5.
Finals week is Dec. 8 through 12.
University housing closes Dec. 12. Residences must be out by 6 p.m. unless approved to stay late or stay over for winter break.
During Winter break, Dec. 13 through Jan. 11, there will be no school.
Fall commencement is Dec. 13.
Grades will be available by the end of the day Dec. 16.
Student Organizations
Southern Indiana Dance Marathon will hold a General Member Meeting Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. in Business and Engineering Center 0005 for students interested in joining the organization.
The American Chemical Society will host Mocktails in the Chem Lounge Dec. 3 at noon in the Chemistry Lounge, offering mocktails between study sessions.
The USI ISTA-AE (Indiana State Teachers Association for Aspiring Educators) will hold its fourth meeting Dec. 3 at 4:30 p.m. in the David L. Rice Library 1003.
Tabletop Club will host TableTop Game Night Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. in University Center 2207. They’ll also host Trading Card Game Night Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. in University Center 2213 for Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon and Magic the Gathering (players must bring their own decks).
APB will hold a general meeting Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. in the Student Life Lounge to discuss upcoming events and involvement opportunities.
German Club will host Krampus Nacht Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. in the Miller Language Lab (LA Basement) to learn about Germany’s Christmas culture and characters, featuring activities, snacks and drinks. No German knowledge necessary.
Health and Wellness
Paws & Play therapy dog visits will be held Dec. 2 at 4:30 p.m., Dec. 3 at 11:30 a.m., and Dec. 4 at 4:30 p.m. in the David L. Rice Library 2nd Floor Reading Room.
Dining Events
USI Dining will host a Holiday Cheer Party Dec. 2 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Starbucks, featuring free samples, festive drinks and holiday activities.
Cookie Decorating will be Dec. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the University Center West Desk, where students can decorate cookies with provided icing, toppings and tools.
