Lighthouse Parade:
The Lighthouse Parade consists of lighthouses that are led down West Franklin Street in wagons. They are either made by individuals or teams.
Amateur Hour:
In order to perform in Amateur Hour at the Fall Festival, participants must audition. The event is split into multiple categories: junior, middle school, senior and college. The junior division consists of children who are enrolled in preschool through fifth grade. The middle school division is for sixth to eighth graders, while the senior division is intended for high schoolers. Unlike the other categories, the college division, which has an upper age limit of 24 years old, only has a vocal category. There is not a dance category for the college division.
Youth of the Day:
Vanderburgh County middle and high schools selected students based on their GPA, school activities and community involvement. There will be six winners, one for each day of the festival. The middle school winners will be recognized on Oct. 7, while the high school winners will be recognized on Oct. 9.
Queen & King Contest:
The eighth graders in this contest were selected by their classmates, based on the criteria: poise, personality, appearance, general bearing and deportment during the review process. There are eight candidates for each position.
Pet Parade:
The seven categories that can qualify for an award are: girl with pet, boy with pet, girl without a pet, boy without a pet, group with pet, special group and large animals.
