
Last Saturday, several USI students went to the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters College Competition awards luncheon in Indianapolis.
According to their website, the IASB is an organization consisting of and supporting Indiana high schools and colleges to promote professional excellence and student recognition in the area of media education. IASB membership consists of secondary schools and post-secondary schools that offer academic, career technical education and extra-curricular programs related to electronic media.
USI students won 14 awards, seven of which were for first place. Twelve of the awards recognized student work done at 95.7 The Spin, the student-run radio station on campus. The other two students were awarded for work done in two USI classes.
