Gallery: An ‘improvised’ performance at Bokeh Lounge

Jack Bogard, adjunct professor of violin at the University of Evansville, and Anthony Rideout, musician, perform today at Bokeh Lounge.

Although today’s concert at Bokeh Lounge was originally intended to feature the USI Jazz Band, ultimately, the weather changed their plans.

According to Tom Drury, instructor in music, concerns for student safety prompted its cancellation.

In their stead, Drury, Pat Moore, Jack Bogard and Anthony Rideout performed songs for restaurant-goers.

Nico Armeanu is a junior studio art and German major. Armeanu joined The Shield in Spring 2024 as a photographer and now serves as the arts and entertainment editor. Armeanu was the district winner at the 2022 Congressional Art Competition and won the freshman award in USI’s 53rd Annual Juried Art Contest. In 2023, they won best in show for the teen category at the Wesselman Wood’s Juried Art Contest. Armeanu spends most of their free time making art. Outside of that, they enjoy swimming, playing guitar and working on DIY projects.
