Cintia Segovia Figueroa, professor of photography at Murray State University, served as the juror for the 55th Annual Juried Art Show. At her talk Wednesday in Kleymeyer Hall, she introduced herself as an artist and explained her rationale behind some of the artworks she selected for the show. Attendees also learned how her artwork explores her experiences emigrating from Mexico to the United States. Several of her artworks focused on the stereotypes she encountered. Meanwhile, others drew on her childhood and growing up in Mexico City.
