 As of recent there has been huge a debate about who is better, a wand flicking wizard or a lightsaber wielding Jedi.

Let’s face the facts. Jedi are better.

A Jedi will be enrolled into the Jedi order as a young child if their potential is great enough. The Jedi elders can look at a child’s potential through the Force. The Force is similar to magic, but no wand is needed to use it.

A Jedi youngling will be taught how to properly use a lightsaber and how to become one with the Force.

Upon becoming Jedi apprentices he or she will be asked to make their own lightsaber. There is none of that “the lightsaber chooses the person” bull crap in the Jedi world.
With a lightsaber and the Force a Jedi could destroy anything in his path, even a wizard.

Having the Force on your side is more effective than magic unless your goal is to morph into someone else or make enemies forget their names. Then you would want magic, but if want to jump higher, run faster or move objects with your mind then being a Jedi is superior.

Without a wand, a wizard is useless. They would have to rely on their potion brewing skills. Oh boy, that’s scary.
Some say that wizards have the advantage because they can cast spells from a long distance, which is true.

Jedi can use the Force to cast lightsabers long distances and return to it to them.

A Jedi’s mind is one of his greatest weapons. They are trained to keep their mind calm and prepared for anything.
So at the beginning of the battle, a Jedi would run to the wizard slashing at him with his lightsaber until he was cut up into tiny wizard nuggets.

If the wizard did manage to evade the Jedi before he got there, the Jedi would simply calm his mind and find him through the use of the Force.

A Jedi could counter every spell a wizard could sling at him because a Jedi is faster than a wizard. A Jedi could use the Force to predict what the wizard would do next. A Jedi knowing every move a wizard would make before he made it would make any wizard a sitting duck.

A Jedi would then remove the wizard’s wand using the Force, grabbing it and snapping it like the stick it is. The wizard would be left with nothing to do but make potions out of tree bark, snake eyes and other useless crap to turn him into a bird so he could fly away like the coward he is.

Basically a wizard is a little boy with a stick and no real powers. It would be a giant game of Wack-A-Mole, but instead of a rubber mallet, it’s a light saber that can cut through anything. A Jedi could flat out kill a wizard, but Jedi don’t kill without reason. So the Jedi would just take the wizard back to the Jedi council for further instructions.
