The Presidential Search Committee, the Board of Trustees and Academic Search have asked students and alumni to complete an anonymous survey to collect feedback that helps determine what USI looks for in a president.
USI is in the process of searching for its fifth president since former President Ronald Rochon announced his departure in May. Steve Bridges was appointed interim president effective July 20.
Students and alumni can participate in the presidential search by submitting feedback to the survey, which consists of five written questions.
The survey asks about opportunities the next president will have, important challenges they will face, critical work needed at USI in the future, prior experiences needed, attributes, characteristics or values and features of USI or the region that applicants might influence their decision to apply.
Christina Ryan, first vice chair of the Board of Trustees and presidential search committee chair, emailed the survey Sept. 26.
“Your insights will be combined with the opinions of other important University stakeholders to help us refine the position description and recruitment strategies to attract the strongest candidate pool possible,” she said.
The survey can be found in student or alumni emails.
