On stage, ‘Vanities’ explores female friendships

The stage and set are ready for the dress rehearsal of “Vanities” Sept. 24 at the USI Mallette Studio Theatre.

“Vanities” is a show about female friendships and how they can change and adapt over the years. The play starts in the 1950s and follows three young women from high school, to college and all the way to adult life in the 1980s. These friends are confronted by many situations from boy trouble to political disagreements.
