Ascension St. Vincent’s tent on standby for attendees in case they need medical attention Wednesday at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival on Franklin St.

The West Side Nut Club hosts their annual Fall Festival on Franklin Street where non-profit organizations in Evansville raise money by selling out of food trucks and providing parking for festival goers. According to the West Side Nut Club, the festival attracts over 200,000 people during the first week of October. This year, the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival was announced as the official 2023 winner of the #1 Fall Festival by USA Today.

Ethan MacCowan, junior radio television major, was a Staff Photographer and Videographer for the 2022-2023 academic year. MacCowan joined The Shield in Spring 2023.  MacCowan was involved with Access USI SETV12, Sigma Pi Fraternity and Scripps Video Production Lab on campus. MacCowan enjoys cooking food, making music, attending social events and oversleeping. His favorite movies and shows are “Money Heist,” “Avatar,” “Avatar the Last Airbender,” the Harry Potter series, “Outer Banks” and “F is for Family.” “I absolutely love the opportunity to bring something new to the table here at The Shield and help start something we’ve never done in the past before,” MacCowan said.
