The university dashboard shows 30 new positive COVID-19 cases last week.

The dashboard updated on Oct. 17 shows a cumulative total of 341 positive COVID-19 cases.

With 30 new cases last week, it appears the number of positive cases has decreased.

The week preceding the new data, Oct. 4 – Oct. 10,  shows there were 46 cases that week. When that data was newly presented there were only 28 cases. Although it appeared that the number of cases had gone down that week, they actually went up.

The USI dashboard updates every Friday with information from a week prior. Data for Vanderburgh county can be found on the Indiana COVID-19 Data Report by selecting Vanderburgh County. New cases are updated each day.

Vanderburgh County has had multiple days where they recorded more than 100 cases. This represents a recent spike in local cases.

Students, employees or visitors that test positive for the virus, or have been exposed to someone who tested positive, are asked to fill out a self-report form.
