Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) is currently under quarantine.
On Friday, the university sent out an email to the campus the community about several positive COVID-19 cases in one organization, now confirmed by a TKE member.
When asked about this, TKE president Mike Durchholz said the fraternity had no comment to give at this time.
According to their website, the fraternity has 49 current members on campus.
“Due to the need to maintain confidentiality for those who self-report as COVID-19 positive and for those who, through contact tracing protocols, are determined to be close contacts, we are unable to confirm the identity or identifying characteristics of any individual or group of individuals who have tested positive or are currently in isolation or quarantine,” Ben Luttrull, media relations specialist, wrote in an email to The Shield.
Luttrull said contact tracers working with the Dean of Students Office (DOSO) are contacting affected students to determine exposure risk.
Employees who need to take action because of potential exposure will be contacted by contact tracers working with USI Human Resources and students will be notified by the contact tracers at the DOSO.
