The university was informed that an employee was tested positive for COVID-19 making this the second case at USI.

The test was performed on April 28, and the employee was only authorized to be on the third floor of the Orr building, according to the university email.

The space where the employee was and anywhere they could have gone was cleaned later in the day after they left as per the guidelines set by the CDC.

USI is currently notifying everyone who could have come into contact with the sickness to ensure the health of the entire campus community.

Indiana has 20,507 confirmed cases, including 1,151 deaths with 163 confirmed and 2 deaths in Vanderburg county according to the Vanderburgh County Health Department.
