“Lighting a Tradition” to mark start of holiday season

The Student Alumni Association will host their annual “Lighting a Tradition” on the quad Nov. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. 

The event will feature holiday caroling, horse and carriage rides, train rides around the quad, photos with Santa, karaoke, hot chocolate and cookies. Donations of hats and scarves will be collected to be distributed at local shelters. 

Caroling begins at 6 p.m. in front of Rice Library followed by the lighting at 6:15 p.m. The lighting is open to the public and updates on the event will be posted on the SAA Facebook.
