Two more deaths linked to vaping in Indiana

The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed two additional deaths due to lung related injuries related to vaping. 

Indiana now has three cases of vaping related deaths this year. 

ISDH is currently investigating 75 individuals that suffer from severe acute respiratory illness who have also reported recent vaping usage. As of Oct. 8, the CDC reported 1,299 lung injury cases across the country along with 28 deaths in 21 states, including the latest in Indiana.

Some signs of respiratory illness include coughing, shortness of breath, chest pain, nausea, fatigue, fever or abdominal pain.
