USI Theatre opens season with ‘The Revolutionists.’

The University of Southern Indiana Theatre will open its season with “The Revolutionists,” a new comedy written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Eric Altheide, associate professor of theatre.

“The Revolutionists,” tells the story of four real-life women who lived during the time of the French Revolution, including Marie Antoinette. The play focuses on themes such as activism, violence, feminism, legacy and asks the question: how do we change the world?

The cast includes four USI students, Cheyenne Welte, Jesmelia Williams, Kaitlyn Kearschner and Gabriella Rivera.

Tickets are $2 for USI students, $10 for USI employees, $4 for non-USI students (student ID required), $10 for seniors (60+), and $12 for adults.
