Megan Thorne, Managing Editor

USI Historic Southern Indiana and Indiana’s Historic Pathways will host a workshop, “Getting from Here to There: The Story of the Buffalo Trace,” for teachers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. EDT Oct. 8 at the Dubois County Museum in Jasper. The workshop is mainly for third, fourth and fifth-grade teachers, but is open to everyone.

The workshop focuses on the impact of the Buffalo Trace and their path through southern Indiana, that was later used by Native Americans. The speakers will speak with a panel to learn how to use innovative learning ideas and bring it back to the classroom.

Registration is $10 and includes lunch and educational materials. The deadline to register is Oct. 1. Registration can be completed online or by calling USI Outreach and Engagement at 812-464-1989.
