The softball team has received its prediction from the Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason poll. They were placed seventh by the votes of GLVC softball coaches. The team also had a player named to the inaugural Schutt Sports/National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association Division II National Player of the Year Watch List. Senior MacKenzi Dorsam led the Eagles in 2014 with a batting average of .388. She also led USI with 54 hits, 34 runs, and 31 RBIs.
