University of Washington President Michael K. Young and Provost Ana Mari Cauce announced the selection of Mark Pagano, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Montana State University Billings, as the next chancellor of the University of Washington-Tacoma over winter break, effective March 16.

Provost Ronald Rochon applied for this position in November.
