The university announced just after 6 a.m. Monday morning that it is open and operating under normal conditions after the area’s first winter storm of the season rolled through the Tri-State overnight.

Nearly four inches of snow had fallen on campus by 5 a.m.

At least three slide-offs on the Lloyd Expressway were reported early Monday morning.

Most area school districts, including the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, are closed.
