The Loft is the most inconvenient dining choice on campus.
Not only are the hours inopportune, but it seems like a daily occurrence that not all stations at The Loft are open at the same time.
Students have limited dining options as it is, however on weekends these options become even more slim.
The Loft makes weekends incredibly stressful.
During a time that is meant for catching up on sleep, students with meal plans have to worry about getting in a meal they’re not ready for at an hour that doesn’t make any sense.
Students only have a short time period to make it to The Loft before it closes.
Who really wants to eat lunch at 2 p.m. and dinner at 4 p.m.?
Since other places on campus, such as Fiesta Fuego, are closed on the weekends, it does not make sense that not all of the food stations in The Loft are open.
Students want variety when they are eating. I do not want to be limited.
During the week when The Loft closes after dinner, other dining options are still open – allowing diners the chance to get food elsewhere.
Why does it have to be different on the weekends?
It is not right that students utilizing on-campus dining are deprived of meals due to a time crunch.
Despite being a “commuter campus,” USI still has students that stay on campus for the weekend.
Sodexo needs to accommodate them with reasonable hours of operation and a selection of options to choose from.
