This week kicks off many sporting events for USI. On Thursday at 8:30 p.m. the women’s basketball team is set to continue their GLVC Tournament run in the quarterfinal round against Quincy College, while the men’s basketball team will begin its quarterfinal round at noon on Friday against Lewis University. Both games will be played at the Ford Center.

Friday will also mark the start of the baseball team’s Dunn Hospitality Classic. The Eagles will play Wayne State College Friday at 6 p.m. and continue the action Sunday at 5 p.m. and Tuesday March 11 at 1 p.m. against Augustana College. The games will all be hosted at the USI baseball field.

The softball team will start GLVC play this weekend with a doubleheader Saturday at noon and 2 p.m. against Missouri University of Science & Technology. On Sunday another GLVC double header begins at 10 a.m. and noon against Drury University. Both doubleheaders are scheduled to be play at the USI softball fields.

The women’s tennis team will travel to St. Peter, MO. To take on the University of Missouri- St. Louis with the first match starting at 1:15 p.m.

The following week, both the men and women’s track teams travel to Winston-Salem State Friday, March 14-15, to compete in the NCAA II Indoor Championships.
