“This year is my last year. Every day it’s my last something. Every game is my last game. I can’t get anything back after this year. There is no next year.”
Why did you come to USI?
I liked my visit… I liked Coach Watson. He sold the school and sold the program. He was new – I was his first recruit so we were learning together.
What are you going to miss the most?
Being around the guys – you’re with them more than anyone else on campus. They are the family away from the family. It’s hard sometimes.
What do you want to do when you graduate?
I want to work for Nike basketball. Either that or I’ll go into coaching. This summer I interned under Coach at Bosse.
Is there any big difference between the team this year and last year?
We’re more team-oriented. Everyone has the same goal. A lot of us are seniors. So it’s not just my last games, but it’s everyone’s.
Why did you get No. 12 (jersey)?
Three has been there all my life. But when I got here, three was already taken. So I tried to get 12 because one plus two is three. It’s kind of corny, but that’s the closest way to get to three.
Is 12 your new favorite number?
Twelve has been a part of my college life, but three will always be my favorite number.
What’s your favorite moment from this season?
Probably my first shot of the season at home. It will probably change.
