USI administration will ask the Board of Trustees in a special session Friday to consider reducing the price per credit hour for summer courses by 20 percent, according to a USI press release.
The decrease would move the current $193.07 per credit hour fee to $154.50 for Indiana residents.
If approved, the price cut takes effect summer 2012.

USI follows Indiana University (IU) in cutting the costs of summer courses.
IU announced Oct. 28 it would cut summer tuition by 25 percent for in state residents.
The Board of Trustees’ special meeting will take place noon Friday in Carter Hall at USI.
