Why USI: A smaller university allows an opportunity to meet and get to know more people. Brauser said being at something in the beginning is a good experience. 

Goals: Brauser said she wants to navigate students to gain skills that college doesn’t prepare for, skills they need to get a job.

Previous employment: Seven years as Dean of Education at Ohio Dominican University (ODU), 15 years as a faculty member at ODU, seven years Associate Dean of Education College at Ohio University and 16 years of P-12 experience. 

Why USI: Beach said she was attracted to the different structure USI had with the Education. “The Pott College of Science, Engineering and Education has both my passions in it: teaching and mathemathics.” 

Goal: At ODU, Beach said she helped organize online classes where a student can obtain his or her degree online. She said to compete against other schools, online offerings would help USI’s standing.
