USI alumnus Craig Fehrman visited campus last Wednesday to give a talk about his book, “Author in Chief: The Untold Story of Our Presidents and the Books They Wrote.”

“There’s something books can do that other media can’t, and I think there’s real value in it,” Fehrman said. “Not just because you spend time with a book, but because you spend time with yourself, and you spend time with your own reactions.”

The Romain College of Business has announced that they will be experimenting with a four-day schedule beginning August 2023. This change will apply to 20% of Monday, Wednesday and Friday classes.

“First and foremost, we try to be responsive to the needs of our students, and our faculty, if you will, as well as our overall mission of the college to serve those two groups,” said Timothy Schibik, assistant dean of the Romain College of Business

Breaking News: People in all campus buildings were

Breaking News: People in all campus buildings were moved to safe locations inside their buildings around 12:30 p.m. Friday due to the tornado warning issued around 12:20 p.m. Friday.

Individuals stayed in their safe locations until around 1 p.m. when the tornado warning was lifted. As of around 1:15 p.m., there were no injuries reported and damage across campus was being evaluated by Public Safety staff.

Nursing students shared their opinions of the nurs

Nursing students shared their opinions of the nursing program. Students shared what it is like to be in such a challenging and demanding program.

“We have to learn what it’s like to be on the job,” said Lydia Moesner, senior nursing major. “You very well may not get a lunch break in your 12-hour shift working at the hospital. I think it definitely prepares people for what it’s like to really be out in the field being a nurse.”
