Through Sept. 13-15 and 20-22, the Evansville Civic Theatre presents “Urinetown.”
“Urinetown” is a musical that includes social commentary, satirical comedy and star-crossed lovers. It takes place in a dilapidated city suffering from a 20-year drought. Due to the water shortage, private toilets have been banned, and a fee must be paid to use public amenities. The citizens live in fear of breaking the law because of the looming threat of being sent to the mysterious Urinetown. That is, until the day someone has enough and decides to stand up for the good of the town.
