Former Interim Chair of Art and Design Katie Waters received the Mayor’s Arts Award from Evansville Mayor Llyod Winnecke Thursday night at the 2019 Arts Council Awards ceremony at the Doubletree by Hilton in downtown Evansville. The annual awards ceremony hosted by the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana recognizes individuals who have made meaningful and significant contributions to arts and culture in Southwestern Indiana. Waters taught at USI from 1981 to spring 2019 and received USI’s Distinguished Professor Award in 2015.
