The university is conducting a search for the next Dean of Students.
In an email sent campus-wide on Wednesday, the university’s Human Resources department announced that two candidates will be completing interviews on July 16 and 17.
Among the just two candidates mentioned in the email includes Heather Webb, the current director of student standards and Title IX coordinator at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois since 2006. Webb has a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Purdue University, where she also received her Master’s degree in education, counseling and development, and a Bachelor’s in communications and public relations.

Brian Samble, the current assistant dean of college at Franklin and Marshall College will go before an interview the following day on July 17. Samble recently spent years as an administrator at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Both candidates will have on campus presentations and an open forum from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. in the University Center East, Room 2217 on their respective days.
The university is also asking for input following the forum sessions, a link was emailed to all faculty, staff, and students to be completed one day following each presentation.
Previous Dean of Students Bryan Rush served with the university since July 2015, the email from Human Resources did not immediately mention Rush’s leave or why the position needed to be filled.
