‘He wasn’t just a coach’: Golf scramble to honor Bisesi, raise money for women’s golf

The golf teams host a scramble each year to raise funds for the team, but it has been renamed in honor of Bisesi. The cost will be $100 per person on each four-person team and registration is due today. Teams will participate in an 18-hole scramble and have a meal afterward that is included in their fee.

Ellis Redd believes education is an equalizer. “It doesn’t matter who you are, or where you come from, an education can level the playing field and help you achieve things that you probably otherwise wouldn’t achieve,” Redd said. “I’m an example of that.”
A student studies at her school  library which was paid for by Road to Mafraq. The donations which funded the project were largely from the Evansville community. Elizabeth Riedford, an organizer for “Run for Refugees,” said the girl told her her dream was to work hard to “become just like her teacher.”
