Six confirmed dead after Harrisburg tornado

5:44 p.m. UPDATE: The Harrisburg Daily Register, in Harrisburg, Ill., reported crews are still searching for people, but all those reported missing have been located. Death count is still at six.


The national weather service has classified the tornado that ripped through Harrisburg, Ill. as an F-4 tornado with winds of 170 mph. Six people have been confirmed dead: Four women, two men. All victims were adults. Any work teams that want to participate in volunteer efforts need to obtain a free work permit from Rural King in Harrisville. There will be a 24/7 police presence until furthur notice.
