Homecoming 2025 is upon us. Curious about the events happening this week? Look no further. Here is the full list of events coming with the Screaming 20s.
Mask Decorating – Jan. 29 from 11 am to 2 pm in Fireside Lounge:
This event will allow students to customize a face mask for a later Homecoming event: the Homecoming Masquerade Ball.
Homecoming Day of Service – Feb. 1 from 10 am to 1 pm in Carter Hall:
A charity event will begin with breakfast in Carter Hall followed by a brief presentation and finally instructions to volunteers on various local charities and services. The list includes The Albion Fellows Bacon Center, Evansville Rescue Mission, The Salvation Army, It Takes a Village No Kill Rescue, Cards for Hospitalized Kids and DIY Pet Toys.
Registration is open to all USI affiliates, including students, staff, faculty, alumni and families.
Homecoming Masquerade Ball – Feb. 1 from 7 pm to midnight:
Campus students are invited to dress up for a 1920s-inspired Masquerade Ball. Bring your masks from the Mask Decorating event or bring your own.
Casino Night – Feb 3 from 5 to 8 pm in Dunn lobby:
Casino Night will provide students with everything they need to get in and play various card games to potentially lwin prizes.
Homecoming Student Athlete Panel – Feb. 4 from 5 to 7 pm in Carter Hall:
The Center for Campus Life and USI Athletics is putting together a panel of student-athletes to ask questions and learn more about their backgrounds. This event is open to the public.
Family Reunion Karaoke – Feb. 5 from 5 to 7 pm in Fireside Lounge:
The Multicultural Center is hosting a karaoke night that is free and open to the public.
Screagles Got Talent Competition – Feb. 7 from 6 to 9 pm in the Performance Center:
A talent show competition where students can compete for a chance to win cash. The event is open and free to the public to spectate.
Homecoming Tie Blankets – Feb. 8 from 2 to 4 pm in the Housing and Residence Life Community Center:
Hosted by Housing and Residence Life, this event allows students to make tie blankets.
Homecoming Spirit Activities – Feb. 8 from 5 to 8:30 pm in Liberty Area:
USI Alumni Relations and Volunteer USI present a variety of activities during the two homecoming basketball games. The activities include a photo booth, face painter, caricature artist, popcorn vouchers and spirit wear.
USI Basketball vs. Southeast Missouri State University – Feb. 8 in Liberty Arena:
USI women’s and men’s basketball go up against SEMO on the night of the Homecoming Court Coordination. Women play at 5 pm and men play at 7:30 pm.
Homecoming Court Coronation – Feb. 8 in Liberty Arena:
The coronation ceremony of this year’s Homecoming Court and the crowning of the 2025 Homecoming Majesties will commence during half-time of the men’s basketball game.
