President Linda Bennett announced a new foreign exchange program to take effect in the near future during the board of trustees meeting in Indianapolis this morning.
USI was one of ten universities selected throughout the entire country to participate in a foreign exchange program with China. The program will match USI with a university in China to exchange not only students but faculty members as well.
“I was really excited about it and felt as though it was a great opportunity for us to do some mutual learning,” Bennett expressed.
USI will send a group of individuals to China to look at a university there and the selected Chinese university will do the same.
The details of the program and the start date are still in the early stages. More information will be provided as it’s received.
