Shutout starts season

The men’s tennis team started its 2016 season with a 9-0 win over Indiana University-Southeast.

The Eagles were led by sophomore Samuel Kiladejo who played the number one singles position during the match at the Evansville Tennis Center.

Kiladejo lost his first set but came back in the second set winning 6-1 and the final set 10-6.

He also played doubles with junior Paul Forichon and the pair earned a 8-2 victory at number one doubles.

Freshman Ilia Karelin went the entire match without losing a set with 6-0 victories.

USI’s next match will be against a Division I team, Austin Peay State University.
